Once upon a time, in 1996…
… a storybook house was built on Djurgården in Stockholm. The house was a tribute to some of our most beloved children’s literature authors and was meant to be a place where children got the chance to step into the magical stories through play and a great deal of curiousness.
Today, 30 years later, the house is standing strong and the magic is equally present still. Children from all around the world come to visit our magical house, and new generations gets to experience the same kind of magic their parents once did as children.
With our hearts in the children’s book, and with the ambition to ignite the spark for a lifetime of reading, Junibacken invites small and big to play and explore in our exhibitions, our entertaining theatre and magical rides with our storybook train.
