Saturday the 18th of April 2026 between 6pm – 12am we welcome you to a magical night at Junibacken! Experience Playful Worlds and The Fairytale Tour.
Celebrate our jubilee during Stockholm Culture Night 2026
To celebrate Junibacken’s 30th anniversary, you are invited to two different experiences. Take a wondrous ride on The Story Train with The Fairytale Tour or visit Junibacken’s Playful Worlds. To experience the The Fairytale Tour, tickets are required and can be collected at Junibacken’s entrance ticket desk from March 18 onwards—see opening hours here. Maximum 4 tickets per family. First come, first served.
Playful Worlds
In Playful Worlds, you’ll have the chance to explore and play in some of our beloved play exhibitions such as The Story Square, Wander the way!, and Bengtsson the baker. You can also visit our bookstore and browse through our treasure trove of books. The restaurant is open all evening. Admission is free and no ticket is required.
The Fairytale Tour
Travel through Astrid Lindgren’s stories on The Story Train and then step off at Villa Villekulla, where light refreshments are available for purchase. This experience requires a physical ticket, which you can collect completely free of charge from Junibacken’s entrance ticket desk. Tickets are already being distributed and are available in limited numbers, so first come, first served.
Queue System
During Stockholm Culture Night, we will have two separate queues depending on which experience you are visiting us for.
Please note that only visitors with tickets for The Fairytale Tour should stand in the queue on the left(see video below). Visitors without tickets are warmly welcome to join the queue on the right, which will give access to our wonderful play exhibitions, Sweden’s largest children’s bookstore, and our lovely restaurant.
